Tijuana's Nortec Collective To Collaborate with Cirque Du Soleil

Announced Pepe Mogt, one of the founders of the musical collective.

The Tijuana-based Nortec Collective, a group of DJ's who successfully fused electronic music with elements commonly found in the northern Mexican regional music and put Tijuana on the national and international music spotlight back in the early 2000s, will collaborate with Cirque du Soleil, the Canadian company renowned for its dramatic circus art sets.

According to Pepe Mogt's official Facebook page, the founder of Nortec Collective and Ramón Amezcua "Bostich" closed a deal with the most internationally renowned circus company. His post states that Lucie Girouard, the company's coordinator and Sebastien Laurendeau, the music director.

The project is still unknown, but if you take into account other collaborations with other bands like the one with the Argentinian, Soda Stereo, a show spectacle that will premiere in 2017, it doesn't really sound like such an impossible idea. This project adds to a list of previous musical collaborations with The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley.
