TIJUANA. Now a staple of the city's cultural landscape, Tijuana's twelfth Artisanal Expo (Expo Artesanal) will be held at the Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT) esplanade, from June 15 through 19, hosting over 340 Mexican artisans.
Artistic pieces made by artisan communities in the Mexican states of Jalisco, Nayarit, Michoacan, Chihuahua, Mexico State, Guerrero, Guanajuato, Queretaro, Sonora, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Puebla, Yucatan and Mexico City, will be exhibited in over 170 booths; others will offer drinks and regional dishes for visitors.
The artistic program includes a performance by Mexican composer Paco Padilla on June 16, 17 and 18. Also present will be numerous dance and musical ensembles from Tijuana and Ensenada, with a closing performance by David Villegas and his mariachi band.
