Tijuana's Insurgente Brewery Puts "Nocturna" Brand to Sleep

The second best beer in Mexico says goodbye

TIJUANA.- Last Friday, Insurgente Brewery announced that they will stop producing one of their most popular brands called "Nocturna." The news broke a couple of hearts and unleashed several sad comments through the weekend. The brewery posted the announcement on their Facebook page and explained why this sudden decision was made.

Marketing director of Insurgente, Salvador Vazquez, explained that there's one good reason why this Black IPA (Nocturna) won't be available anymore: Better things are coming. Yes, apparently this 100% Tijuana brewery is starting to work on new things with old well kept recipes, assuring that they will not disappoint anyone, and that the presentation of their new beers will happen soon.

They bottled the last delivery of Nocturna on Thursday, so more than 200 boxes were packed and —depending on the consumption—‚ these could last between one or three months; not only in Baja California, but at a national level. According to Vazquez, this is the best Nocturna they have made because it has a new "secret touch" to its ingredients.

Insurgente Brewery made very clear that it's not a goodbye, but a "see you later" until they decide to make the Nocturna again. If you would like to try one of these before they disappear, you can go to their Tap Room at La Plaza Fiesta and drink it right from the tap, or buy it in a bottle to keep it for later.
