Binational Concert "RiseUp As One" in San Diego-Tijuana Border Has an Official Date

Natalia Lafourcade, Alejandro Sanz, Los Tigres del Norte, Calle 13, Carlos Vives, and others will be in charge of this great performance.

Television channel Univision has confirmed a Mega Concert called "RiseUp As One", which will take place at the San Diego-Tijuana border in the Cross Border Express, where the most popular artists of the moment will celebrate union and diversity.

Univision joined forces with Fusion Media Group to organize this magnum event next Oct. 15, and scenery will be built in San Diego, but music will reach the audience of the other side of the border, in the city of Tijuana.

The Cross Border Express (CBX) is a bridge that connects both countries and many artists will perform in it: Miguel Bosé, Luis Coronel, Andra Day, Lila Downs, Jorge Drexler, Fonseca, Jesse & Joy, Juanes, Natalia Lafourcade, Los Tigres del Norte, Lupillo Rivera, Alejandro Sanz, Julieta Venegas and Carlos Vives. The show will be broadcasted live from coast to coast in Spanish by Univision channel and in English by Fusion.

Julieta Venegas will represent "Tijuanenses" in the concert.

"The border between Mexico and the United States offers the perfect scenery for this marvelous event as a way of highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion, despite borders", said Camila Villa, co-chair and content Director of Fusion Media Group. "This place and our fantastic group of award-winning artists will celebrate through music the connexion of our world with the produced positivity when we show empathy, respect and an open minded perspective towards others."

Until now the dynamic and order of the event is unknown, but tickets will be free, according to Univision channel.
