Former NFL player, Aaron Hernandez, Commited Suicide

A week ago he was exonerated of having killed Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in 2012

The correctional department of Prison Center Souza Baranowski announced this morning that Aaron Hernandez, former New England Patriots football player committed suicide.

"Mr. Hernandez hung up using a sheet that tied to the window of his cell. Mr. Hernandez also tried to block his door from within, "the statement said.

Hernandez was held in solitary confinement in Shirley, Mass. He was immediately transferred to the nearest hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Aaron received life sentence in 2013 after being guilty of the murder of the semi-professional player Odin Lloyd, as well as of the double homicide of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado, although a week ago was exonerated of this last charge.
