As announced by authorities, operations for the new pedestrian entrance to Tijuana through PedWest, also known as the "El Chaparral" garita, begun today July 31.

The now second access to Tijuana from the United States will have a schedule from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, which was enabled as part of the demands of users who needed another exit closer to the shopping area.

With this new opening, there will now be two exits to Mexico, which will speed up the flow of users, and it is expected that between 8,000 and 14,000 pedestrians use it daily to cross to Tijuana.

You will be able to identify the new access to Tijuana thanks to the signage that is right next to the permit area, which will guide you in your first time by the new access.

For their part, municipal authorities already work on a reorganization plan so that when users get to Tijuana they can use the transport of their choice, whether private or public service. This concerning the recent controversy with yellow taxis.
