President Decrees Three Days of National Mourning for Earthquake Victims in Mexico

He made the announcement via Twitter

After the earthquake of last Tuesday Sept. 19, which has claimed the lives of more than 230 people, the president of Mexico; Enrique Peña Nieto, has decreed three days of National Mourning in memory of the victims.

The rescue efforts continue, as well as the solidarity of the Mexican people who are helping those affected by this natural disaster.

Governments from various parts of the world have sent rescue experts, structural engineers, among other professionals, as well as the necessary equipment to carry out such actions.

The earthquake of 7.1 that shook Mexico on Sept. 19, has claimed more victims than the one that took place last Sept. 7 with a magnitude of 8.2, with more than 90 deaths.
