On Thursday Night, wildfires consumed at least 12 homes in the Aguaje de la Tuna neighborhood in Tijuana.

The first reports were given after 7:00 pm, to which the firemen responded immediately. The Santa Ana winds conditions caused the fire to spread rapidly until reaching the homes.

According to the residents themselves, the fire started in a house next to a tree, whose fire caused it to spread to the other nearby houses of the neighborhood.

More than 500 people from the neighborhood were evacuated, according to authorities. Shortly before 10:00 pm, the residents in the area were still outside their homes as a way of precaution until the fire was controlled in its entirety.

Victims are not reported, only material damages. The videos and photographs shared on social media show us the scope of the flames.

Impressive images were shared of the unpleasant episode for the families of the more than twelve houses that now remain in ashes.

The firefighters of the city have not been able to cope with all the wildfires registered in different points of Tijuana.

Around 28 families were affected, which translates in 21 homes burned down.
