A PhD student at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), leads an experiment with a natural drug in dogs croquettes, which objective is to sterilize them in a non-invasive way.

"It is in experimental stage, our idea is to find a solution that is not harmful to dogs, or invasive as surgical sterilization, plus, there are also other ways to sterilize dogs that can cause problems," said student Sheila Irais Peña Corona.

It is noteworthy that during December and January in Mexico, people usually give away puppies, and many of them end up being abandoned, making the problem worse. This could be a very good solution.
