Medical Devices Push National Economy: COFEPRIS

Medical device production in Mexico amounts to 15,220 million USD

The Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risk (COFEPRIS for its acronym in Spanish) has played a leading role not only in the surveillance and supervision of a large range of health related products and services, but also in economic matters.

During the “Quality, What Matters Today” event, organized by the Californias Medical Device Cluster, Jorge Antonio Romero Delgado, Sanitary Promotion Commissioner for COFEPRIS talked about the economic impact of the medical device industry in Mexico and the organization’s international strategy consisting in the homologation of the best international practices.
