Earthquakes are an abrupt movement of the earth that cannot be predicted, and these events tend to take people by surprise when they are intense. During the morning of Monday, February 21, the National Seismological System registered 10 eartquakes in Baja California.

During the early morning, 7 earthquakes were registered, occurring between 02:00 AM and 05:00 AM with an intensity of 3.2-3.7 in the Richter magnitude scale. These were registered in areas close to San Felipe and Mexicali.

During the morning, 3 earthquakes were registered later, all of them taking place in the municipality of Mexicali between 07:00 AM and 10:30 AM. These telluric movements had an intensity of 3.5 and 3.6 in the Richter magnitude scale.

The intensity and the short periods of time between earthquakes should be noted, as well as the fact that there were at least five registered telluric movements in the morning of Sunday, February 20, in nearby areas.
