Tijuana gas stations continue to run out of fuel

Some stations have been closed for two days

Several gas stations in Tijuana have been having issues regarding fuel supplies since some of them have taken up to 4 days to open to the public again due to a lack of fuel.

Several gas station workers have said that American drivers prefer crossing from San Diego to Tijuana to purchase gasoline since it is cheaper.

Such is the case of the British Petroleum station located in Calle 10, which has had an issue of fuel running out before it is supposed to for almost two weeks due to high demand, especially from American citizens who are taking advantage of the prices to fill up their tanks.

On the other hand, Arco gas station located in Independencia has reported a lack of fuel which is why it has remained close since Tuesday, March 29th without a date yet to reopen.

Several gas station workers also revealed that there’s been a demand in gas after the return to in-person classes which occurred when the epidemiological traffic light was changed to green in the entirety of Baja California.
