Mothers expose food debtors at Playas de Tijuana’s border wall

With canvases, Tijuana native mothers exposed the fathers who aren’t taking care of their children’s food and diet

The Playas de Tijuana border wall has become a place of protest in more than one occasion and this time it was used by the National Front of Women Against Food Debtors to expose those who are not complying with the law in regards to their children’s rights.

On Sunday, October 2, women gathered and with pictures in canvases, they exposed the debtors who have failed to provide for their own children’s basic needs (food). This occurs after the complaints have increased in the last few months.

“Today we had the SECOND Food Debtor Canvas Exhibition at the Playas de Tijuana border wall. Moms organized this and made it possible. They will never again have the comfort of our silence #LeySabina”, they wrote on their official Facebook page.

Ley Sabina (Sabina Law) is an initiative whose goal is for those who have legal obligations to take care of a child to comply with these obligations. It will also investigate debtors, since many of them hide their earnings and refuse to report what they really earn.
