Marina del Pilar prioritizes social care for communities in Baja California

Through the ‘Jornada con el Corazón por Delante’ program, the governor of Baja California is providing basic government services for the people

Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the governor of Baja California, led a ‘Jornada con el Corazón por Delante’ campaign event, which took place in the city of Morelos, located at Valle de Mexicali, where necessary government services were provided in order to improve the quality of life of the families of the region.

In her speech, the state governor emphasized that the needs of the Mexicali Valley are an absolute priority for the state government of Baja California, being healthcare one of their most important actions as well as the restoration of roads and citizen security.

“We are going to continue working every day with our heart above all in order to take care of all the needs that for so long were forgotten, that for a long time were not taken care of at Valle de Mexicali as it deserves,” she said.

Marina del Pilar spoke about the security needs of Valle de Mexicali, highlighting that, through the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Baja California (SSCBC), strategies are being carried out in order to bring peace to each of the ejidos and neighborhoods that are part of our state.

As part of this event, wheelchairs were delivered to people of all ages with disabilities, so that they can have proper mobility in their daily life and carry out their daily activities efficiently.

For his part, the Secretary of Health of Baja California, José Adrián Medina Amarillas, announced that, with the Heart Attack Code Red program that has been put into operation, the health center of Ciudad Morelos will have its own ambulance for the first time in its history. In addition, it will be the headquarters for the diagnosis, treatment, and proper transfer of patients that have a heart attack.

At this event, the Secretary of Welfare of Baja California, Netzahualcóyotl Jáuregui Santillán, and state congress representative, Manuel Guerrero Luna, as well as people benefited by the programs of the Secretariat of Welfare were all present.
