Agents of the State Forces of Citizen Security (FESC) arrested 2 men in Valle de Mexicali on Saturday, April 28, 2023 as they were in possession of a AK-47 firearm and around 150 useful cartridges.

This incident took place at Dolores Polina Street, located at Ejido Veracruz 2, where a 2015 black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was stopped as it was speeding and was using red and blue lights. This created suspicion as the vehicle was not marked.

Two male individuals were driving in the car who were identified as 35-year-old Alejandro “N” and 38-year-old Miguel “N”, both from the state of Sonora. After being checked, it was determined that they did not have illegal substances on their clothes.

However, both individuals had hidden inside the car the following constitutively criminal objects: a long firearm known as AK-47; a bulletproof vest; 5 magazines loaded with 150 unfired useful cartridges.

In addition, the Californian license plates of the car with number 40566E2 were checked and it was confirmed that this Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was reported as stolen abroad.

This is why, Alejandro “N” and Miguel “N were cuffed and were turned over to the offices of Mexico’s Prosecutor Agency (FGR) so that their legal situation for this incident can proceed.
