The male Tijuana native team competed against 80 teams at the “Donosti Master Cup” and won second place

Representing Mexico in the best way possible, the Mexican team won second place at the 2023 Donosti Masters Club, defeating their Spanish rivals in penalties; the Tijuana native team fought until the very end.

For its ninth edition, the Donosti Masters Cup gathered 80 teams from 8 different countries to compete for the title of this international football tournament, where the Mexican team won second place.

The third place in the men’s +35 category, who were eliminated by the “Tijuana 664 FC” team, was taken by “Restaurante La Historia”, current two-times champion of this cup, through penalties, where they got to the semifinals against UD Akabauk.

The Spanish team had the same luck and ended up in second place, leaving a free way for Tijuana to compete the finals in this sports match.

Just like the women’s team, the men’s team shone at this international tournament, showing off their characteristic Mexican sports talent, who continue triumphing in all international and global sports.

Donosti Masters Cup is a football tournament for both genders which usually takes places at the end of May and early June, with players who are over 35 years of age.

It should be noted that Mexico has participated in past editions of this tournament through the “Tijuana 664 FC” club; however, on this occasion, new nations such as Portugal and Switzerland, also joined.

Congratulations to Tijuana’s team!
