California has the 3rd snowiest county in the United States

Website Lawn Love carried out an investigation where they revealed the snowiest counties in the United States in 2024. Interestingly, California was ranked 3rd place.

The company says that they compared 256 counties by historical snowfalls, including annual snowfall, 1-day, and 3-day records. They also compared the average historical yearly temperature and the number of days with temperatures below zero.

5 snowiest areas in California in 2024

Placer County: This county is ranked 3rd place in the snowiest county list. Its county seat is Auburn and its biggest city Is Roseville.

Shasta County: It is ranked 55th on this list and its county seat is Redding. It was founded in 1850 and it is currently one of the coldest counties.

Inyo County: Its county seat is Independence and its biggest city is Bishop. It is ranked #59, according to Lawn Love.

Fresno County: It is ranked #69 and it seems like it has been one of the snowiest places in the last few years.

LA County: The most populated county in the United States. It is ranked #110 on this list, and though snow is not something that is associated with Los Angeles, according to statistics, there have been different results in the last few years.
