Heated start of Chávez Jr vs Martínez' tour

Will face each other for the WBC Middleweight Belt on september

It was in Los Angeles where the awaited tour for the Julio César Chávez Jr vs Argentinean Sergio Martínez clash was launched.

The fighters will face each other on the 15 of September for the World Boxing Council (WBC) Middleweight Belt at the Thomas & Mack Center of Las Vegas.

The 4 city tour started in a luxurious Los Angeles hotel, and even though they have both guaranteed a knockout it is during this tour that they can let their mouths loose to build up the steam for the ring next September 15.

"As a fighter I respect him, he has been one of the best Middleweights lately but I trained really hard and this 15 of September I will consolidate myself as the champion I want to be" said the Champion Chávez Jr. after his rival threatened to knock him out.

"A lot of things that aren't true have been said, and if somebody is protected by the WBC, it's him; he had a show in FOX with them" stated Chávez "We will see where does he go after all of the things he has said" added Julio while from the audience people shouted "go dancing" mocking the dancing competition the Argentinean boxer is participating in.

"Let it be clear, on September 15 it will be me the one who wins, and I will make him eat his words" declared Julio César while looking at Martínez who, from his place, looked like an imposing statue.

For his part Julio César Chávez Sr. said that Martínez has been talking a lot of "shit" and that maybe it is true that in soccer Argentina defeated Mexico but in boxing, Mexicans have the upper hand; he even foretold that he would KO him.

"Martínez' dream came true, a lot has been said about this fight, Martínez has said a lot of shit. I definitely trust in my son's abilities to come through on September. At soccer Argentina has always beaten us but, as boxers, he knows that Mexicans have always defeated them. He should remember a Mexican already knocked him out and, why not, my son will be the second" stated the great JC causing anticipation in the audience.

Martínez, angered by the father's words, pointed that he did not know who he was supposed to answer to. "Not only will I take his belt, I will prove that I am still one of the best pound by pound" said Martínez "I will dedicate this fight to all of the Argentinean soccer players and this 15 of September I will pluck all of the feather he has left on his skin" guaranteed and then finished "Take a picture of him before because he will end up unrecognizable".

Bob Arum, for his part, said that this fight will be the Super Bowl of Latin box featuring the current Top 2; while Lou DiBella, the promoter of Martínez, stated that this is the kind of fights people want.

Tickets will be sold starting next Thursday with a price range from $25 USD to $600 USD while the tour will continue this Wednesday in Las Vegas, next Thursday they will be on New York and they will end it on Friday in Mexico City.

The fight will be broadcasted on HBO through their Pay Per View mode and it has been announced that there will be a 24/7 of the Maravilla and Chávez Carrasco's camps.
