Casting in San Diego on Aug. 19 seeks great models

Those selected will participate in 'InnovaModa'

A great opportunity for models in San Diego is coming up.

Renowned designer Louis Verdad and other designers are looking for female models that can showcase the border region's dynamic style.

They are hosting a casting call on Sunday, Aug. 19, in San Diego, the second one in this region.

Those selected will star in the "InnovaModa" fashion show on Oct. 14 as part of Tijuana Innovadora, an extraordinary event that presents leading innovators in technology, business and culture and draws international media coverage.

They will have an opportunity to work with Verdad, the most high-profile Mexican designer in international fashion, who has created outfits for Madonna, Paris Hilton, Rihanna and Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera.

Other designers at the event include former Victoria's Secret designer Ximena Valero, and up-and-coming Daniela Villa, who is based in Tijuana.

The casting seeks female models, at least 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a slim build, personality and a great attitude. Previous runway experience preferred.

Dozens of models turned out for the first casting for this show, held July 7 in Tijuana.

The San Diego casting will be Aug. 19 at the Alma Latina Dance Company, 8589 Aero Drive, Suite 102, San Diego 92123, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
