TIJUANA, BC. – Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles are back in action today against the Rayados of Monterrey, in a game that is considered as a rematch, which will be played in Monterrey as part of the Liga MX quarter finals.

Rayados are the only team that has played against Xolos the most in the Mexican soccer league in Division One, where out of 5 games Xolos have won 1 game, tied 2, and Rayados have won 2 games. Today's game is scheduled to be played at 7p.m. local time and 5p.m. pacific standard time.

In the last tournament these two teams faced off also in the quarter finals where Monterrey beat Xolos 2-1 in Tijuana, and then tied 2-2 in Monterrey, which the overall result favored Rayados who went on to play in the tournament semifinals.

Today's game will be very different, because not only are Xolos playing with better players on the squad, but also are coming into this game with an a better record as well with 15 games without being defeated, and now the visitors score will favor them a lot as well, How? Well a goal scored in Monterrey will literally count as 2 for Xolos in the overall global results.

This game will be very interesting to watch, because both teams will be forced to play more intelligently in order to advance into the next stage which would be the semifinals.

The only bad news for Xolos is that Pablo Cesar Aguilar will not be playing in this game, due to a game that the Paraguayan national team has schedule in which he will be also participating in, but his replacement will be Joshua Emmanuel Abrego who knows this positions very well.

Rayados are taking a big loss in this game as well, due to a few players being out for injuries and will not be playing who are, Humberto "Chupete" Suazo, Severo Meza and Jesus Zavala.

Xolos have already qualified for the Copa Libertadores of America, but can also continue to make history by making it into the semifinals of the Apertura tournament 2012, which out of only 3 seasons Xolos have qualified into the playoffs 2 times, and this time they have the possibility to even advance into the finals and crown themselves as the tournament champions.
