What you should do:
Use lots of butter, it's an ingredient that is liked by all and used in most of the traditional Thanksgiving dishes of Thanksgiving.
Dressings and sauces are a must, especially the cranberry sauce and gravy for the mashed potatoes and turkey.
The dessert is very important, that's why you should always have dessert of all three of these pies ....Pumpkin, apple and pecan. They are the classics to accompany the turkey.
Always sit down together at the table to give thanks, and it's the reason and tradition of this day. Surprisingly this is the holiday in which more American families are united, even more than Christmas or the 4th of July.
What you shouldn't do:
There should be no snacks, because you and your guests will get full by eating just crackers or chips, and all the time in front of the stove will be time wasted.
Do not make salad, after eating a turkey leg, mashed potatoes with butter, bread rolls, stuffing and other delicious foods. The salad is the last thing on peoples mind, and this day is not a day to think healthy, it is to eat all the delicious things that are being served.
Remember, even if you do not know how to cook, you can always order some of your dishes to be made at your favorite place; nobody is going to judge you for it.
