[p]TIJUANA, BC. – On Thursday night it was confirmed that Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente (Xolos) will be traveling to Los Angeles, CA, to play against the U.S. National team at the Home Depot Center. Unfortunately for L.A. fans, this game will be played behind closed doors.

This news was given by the Xolos press release department, who also mentioned that this was an important game for the formation of both teams, and due to the important nature in itself, fans will not have access to view the match.

The team was hoping to be able to interact with their L.A. fans after having won the championship title of last year’s season, but they will now have to wait a little longer for the next occasion.

The match will be played on Tuesday January 22 at 4p.m. local time (PST), and will take place at the Home Depot Center stadium which is home to the L.A. Galaxy and Chivas USA from the MLS.

The players from Xolos who will be participating in this match against the U.S. National team, are all of those who will not be playing this Sunday against Pumas UNAM.

Head coach Jurgen Klinsmann will be able to select any player to represent the U.S. for this match.
