J.J. Abrams prepares film about Lance Armstrong

Jake Gyllenhaal is a candidate to play his role

Just yesterday Lance Armstrong's made statements about his venture into doping practices for various championships in cycling, and now a film about his life is already in preparation.

J.J. Abrams through his company "Bad Robot" and Paramount Pictures have already acquired the rights to a book chronicling the life of the cyclist, and although the idea had already been up in the air for a long time, now with the recent statements by Armstrong about this controversy, the topic about a film being made became even more relevant.

In the book "Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong" Juliet Macur, New York Times reporter recounts what happened after Armstrong suffered from cancer. He created a foundation to support those who were suffering from the disease and how he returned to sport.

Now everyone knows that before and after he was diagnosed with cancer, the rider resorted to illegal methods that helped him win all of his championship titles.

Originally, Jake Gyllenhal was thought of to play the main role (Armstrong), but now with these new changes that remains unknown. The directors might be looking into getting another actor.
