Rain tips for today's match between Xolos and Pachuca

Club Tijuana is looking for the fourth consecutive time this season

TIJUANA, BC.- Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente is looking to have its best start in the history of the franchise today against Pachuca Tuzos, in a game that will be played in the field at Estadio Caliente.

The match will be part of Week 4 of the 2013 Clausura tournament from the Liga MX, and will begin at 5PM PST; rain has been forecasted for the whole afternoon which club directors are asking the fans to come prepared.

Xoloitzcuintles come into this match with 3 consecutive wins, which is something the team was able to do during the 2010 Apertura tournament when the club first became champions in Liga de Ascenso; but the run was cut short by a 0-0 draw against Sinaloa Dorados during Week 4 of the season.

Club Tijuana has the opportunity to have its best start of the season if the team gets a 4th consecutive victory, something that no Mexican champions has been able to do since 1992.

The canine camp is full of good news: Joe Corona and Duvier Riascos have been taken out of the injured list for this game, while Leandro Augusto has completed his red card suspension and will be able to play today. The formation will be led by Cirilo Saucedo on the goal; Edgar Castillo will be on the left defensive line, while Javier Gandolfi and Pablo César Aguilar will be in the middle, on the right Juan Carlos Núñez will be there to stop the attack by the rivals.

In the midfield, Cristian Pellerano is doubtful, and his place could be taken by Leandro Augusto, meanwhile, Fernando Arce and Corona will complete the coverage; in the attacking zone, Fidel Martínez will play on the left, with Alfredo Moreno on the center and Richard Ruiz or Diego Olsina on the right in case Riascos doesn’t play. For the Tuzos, the only absence will be Enrique Esqueda who’s on the injured list.

Rainy match

According to today’s forecast, rain will continue to pour during the day in Tijuana and at game time the possibility of precipitation will be 30%. Rain will be present during the afternoon.

Following the Mexican Soccer Federation (FMF in Spanish) rules, no regular umbrellas are permitted, as they can be used as weapons. Those small umbrellas with plastic tips will be allowed for use at Estadio Caliente.

Fanatics are asked to use a rain coat or rain jacket so as not to get wet during the game. Also the fans should get in early to avoid the mud that surrounds the stadium.
