Xolos defeat South Korean soccer team

Club Tijuana wins the match easily

TIJUANA, BC. -Yesterday, Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente played a friendly practice match against Gangwon FC of South Korea, in preparation to face high level opponents in the Liga MX and in the 2013 Copa Libertadores of America tournament.

The time of the match was split in three different parts, where Xolos were seperated into two different teams and played at the Xolos Initiation Center (CIX).

The first part was set for 40 minutes, which the score in the end favored the local team of 2-0 thanks to a goal by the team captain, Javier Gandolfi, and also a goal by Raul Enriquez from a free kick.

Afterwards these two teams played two more times with 35 minutes for each part, where the players who usually don’t get much playing time as starters, demonstrated their ability and tried to prove that they deserve a spot on the team like Antonio Madueña, who scored the third and final goal to finish the game at 3-0.

The South Korean team Gangwon FC plays in the first division in their country, and has been in California now for a month preparing for their preseason, where they will be also facing soon Chivas USA and the L.A. Galaxy.

In this match Adrian Zermeño was the starting goalie, while Miguel Almazan, Joshua Abrego, Javier Gandolfi and Carlos Nuñez all played on defense.

Cristian Pellerano, Richard Ruiz and Joe Corona played at midfield. And Raul Enriquez, Duvier Riascos and Fidel Martinez played up top as forwards.
