Xolos vs. Corinthians for the number one spot

They will meet face to face today at Caliente stadium

TIJUANA, BC. - Club Tijuana once again is ready to make history today, when they will be playing against SC Corinthians Paulista of Brazil, in a game where they will be looking to qualify into the next round as the number one team and leaders of group 5.

This match will be part of Week 3 of the Copa Libertadores 2013 tournament, and will be disputed at Caliente stadium at 5p.m. Tijuana local time (PST).

A packed stadium full of fans is being expected to witness on Wednesday a very interesting match, where two champions will battle it out on the synthetic field at the Xolos home field. Tickets for this match are still on sale at the Caliente stadium ticket box office, but are also expected to sell out soon.

Unfortunately for Xolos, Edgar Castillo will be sitting out this game, due to a recent surgery that he successfully underwent to repair 3 different fractures in his face. Castillo will now miss a few games and his medical report, which will soon be known, will indicate when Castillo will return to the field.

Now, because of this modification, the head coach for the Xolos Antonio Mohamed will most likely set up his starting team as follows: starting goale, Cirilo Saucedo. Defenders: Juan Carlos Nunez, Jarvier Gandolfi, Pablo Cesar Aguilar and Richard Ruiz. In the midfield will we Cristian Pellerano, Fernando Arce and Joe Corona. The forwards will be Fidel Martinez, Alfredo "Chango" Moreno and Duvier Riascos.

SC Corinthians have a good deck of cards themselves, where they will most likely set up the field in the same way which they did when they were able to obtain a victory against Millonarios from Columbia, which is as follows: Cassio as goalie and as defenders it will be, Fabio Santos, Paulo Andre, Gil and Alessandro. Playing in the midfield will be Renato Augusto, Ralf, Danilo and Paulinho. The forwards will be Paolo Guerrero and Alexandre Pato.

It is important to highlight that although Corinthians play with a 4-4-2 line up, their set up is still very dynamic because their sideline midfielders don't participate much on defense, instead they play as attackers to push the team up top.

The game will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports in Mexico, and through Fox Deportes in the United States
