Xolos back on duty against Gallos

The game will be played at 5PM PST in Estadio Caliente

SAN DIEGO, CA.- After their historic win on Wednesday night over Brazilian giants Corinthians, Club Tijuana must settle back down and focus. The next match is now upon them. The Xolos will be hosting Club Queretaro at the Caliente stadium.

The match will take place on Saturday at 5:00pm (PST) and will be part of the 10th match day of Liga MX.

A sold out crowd is expected for this one as almost the entire stadium was sold in season tickets (XoloPasses).

Club Queretaro is in desperate need of points as they are currently sitting in last place of the percentage table. Queretaro would be relegated if the season were to end right now. Even though it seems unlikely that the ‘Gallos Blancos’ can catch Atlas in the race to avoid relegation, a dim light of hope has appeared for them. That hope is called San Luis, who is in terrible form at the moment. Queretaro will need to pick up points in every game possible if they want to have a chance to catch up with San Luis or Atlas, and they’ll look to start in the house of the champion.

It is never easy to play against relegation threaten teams; every game is like a championship final for them as they fight for their first division live. This is why the Xolos will have to keep up the same intensity that has brought them so much success.

The Xoloitzcuitles might be inclined to give some guys a bit of rest after their midweek battle in the Copa Libertadores, while also looking ahead to next week’s long travel to Brazil. But Xolos can’t afford to send out a completely reserved team either. After last weekend’s loss to Atlas, Xolos will be looking to get their domestic season back on track.

Some of the non regular stating players that we might get to see are: U.S. International Greg Garza, Leandro Agusto, Raul Enriquez, Jorge Hernandez, and Danny Marquez. Players Joshua Abrego, Cristian Pellerano and Fidel Martinez are suspended for one match for the events during the last game against Atlas. On the other hand New Mexico's Edgar Castillo is out for a month with a 3-part fracture on the face.

This game will be televised in Mexico through TV Azteca. For the USA, Univision Deportes Network will be broadcasting this match.
