Change of date for Toluca vs Xolos

The game will be played on Saturday instead of Sunday

SAN DIEGO, BC.- Mexican Soccer Federation has informed that the championship rematch between Deportivo Toluca and Xoloitzcuitles De Caliente for the 12th week in Liga MX has had a schedule change on the request of the Toluca side.

The matchup at the Estadio Nemezio Diez was originally programed for Sunday, March 31 at 12:00 PM (10:00 AM Pacific Time). The new time for this match will be Saturday, March 30 at 5 PM (4:00 PM Pacific Time). This game will now be played on the last day before the spring time change happens in all of Mexico.

This reschedule of the match was requested by Toluca, but it benefits both sides. Both Toluca and Xolos will have midweek Copa Libertadores matches in South America and could use the extra day rest.

Toluca will be traveling to Uruguay on Thursday April 4 to face Club Nacional. Toluca are currently in third place in group one with five points, right behind Boca Jrs who has six and Nacional who has seven points.

Tijuana will be facing San Jose De Oruro in Bolivia on Wednesday, April 3. Xolos are still in first place with nine points despite the loss to Corinthians. A win in Bolivia could mathematically assure Club Tijuana a ticket into the playoff rounds of the Copa Libertadores.
