Tecate, BC. - As governor of Baja California, Francisco Kiko Vega said that he will work hard to boost the economic vocations of municipalities in the state, and in the case of Tecate, capitalize on its recent designation as a "Magical Town", for its continuing growth as well as to have more museums and other attractions.

This candidate of the United for Baja California alliance also mentioned that he will work towards improving better living conditions by providing better health care and education, as well as other services. And in a meeting with the founding communities of Tecate, he thanked the Kumeyaay community for protecting and taking care of their traditions, which he also committed to.

In his first visit to Rosarito, Kiko Vega said that he would continue to promote tourism and the business sector in order to improve the quality of life for the residents of Rosarito.

In the presence of hundreds of employees of restaurants and small business owners from the Mercado de Artesanias (Craft Market), he assured everyone that governing the state with the people hand in hand; it will be possible to boost the economy of Playas de Rosarito.

Vega also asked the candidates for mayor of Playas de Rosarito, Silvano Abarca Macklis and the representative for District XVII, Felipe Mayoral Mayoral, to work together to meet the needs of the community.

After a tour around the state that started at about 5:30a.m. in the Valley of Mexicali, the candidate for governor from the United for Baja California alliance, Francisco Kiko Vega, finished his first day of campaigning with a rally where more than 3,000 people attended.

Accompanied by Alejandro Monraz Sustaita, candidate for Mayor of Tijuana and also from the United for Baja California alliance, Kiko Vega took the empowerment of the people as his campaign flag, and highlighted that the people will be the ones who will be in charge during his administration, just like how it was when he was the mayor of Tijuana.

"We are here to help those who truly need it," said Kiko Vega as he addressed the women from the thirteenth congressional district located in the eastern part of the city, and mentioned that as governor he will work hard to create the best prevention program that has ever existed.

"Let's work together. I cut 83 ribbons for daycare centers for 2,300 children. If that was achieved as mayor, now imagine as governor," said Vega to female workers, who he also reminded that the action and request was made by the citizens during his administration.

"We govern with the people and not the people. Whoever governs the people does not know how to govern," he said.
