Xolos still alive, must win on Saturday

The Tijuana team will play against San Luis

SAN DIEGO, CA.- Club Tijuana will be traveling into San Luis Potosi to take on the Reales in the penultimate game of the regular season of Liga MX. In spite being win-less in their last seven games and only one win in their last eleven; the Xolos still has a realistic chance of making the playoffs.

The match is scheduled for this Saturday April 27 at 9:00 PM local time (7:00 PM for the Pacific) at the Alfonso Lastras stadium in San Luis Potosi.

San Luis is one of the weaker sides of the Liga MX; currently in last place of the 18 team table with only 10 points. Those 10 points are enough to avoid relegation this year, and the pressure is now off of the local side.

Tijuana is in a must win and hope situation. Three points is crucial for the Xolos if playoff hopes are to remain alive going into the final game of the season. They must also hope for both Monterrey and Pachuca to drop points. With both of these teams facing tough opposition this weekend (Monterrey city derby against league leading Tigres, and against Club America respectfully), it is a real possibility for the Xoloitzcuitles to claim up in the table position if they manage a win.

Club Tijuana youngsters and reserve players will most likely be given the responsibility t search for the win in San Luis. Antonio Mohamed will have eyes set on next Tuesday's match in the Estadio Caliente against Palmeiras of Brazil for the Copa Libertadores round of 16 first leg.

San Luis directors have offered a two-for-one special on all tickets for this game. They'll be looking to finish the season strong and avoid the distasteful last place. The Potosinos are also aware that with their horrible season they'll be in the thick of the relegation race next soccer year. These last six points left in this season could be of vital help for San Luis in next year's relegation race.

The game will be shown live on TV Azteca in Mexico and on Univision Deportes Network in the United States.
