Klinsmann to Brazil to Observe Xolos, Corona, and Castillo

USMNT coach Jürgan Klinsmann will be in Brazil to observe Joe Corona and Edgar Castillo play with Xolos in Copa Libertadores.

The United States Men's National Team (USMNT) head coach Jürgan Klinsmann will be in São Paulo tonight observing American players Joe Corona and Edgar Castillo in their participation with the Xoloitzcuitles in the Copa Libertadores.

Klinsmann published the news himself on his Twitter account (@J_Klinsmann): "Here in Sao Paulo, Brazil to watch @JoeCorona15 @edgarcastillo40 and @XolosOficial take on Palmerias in the Copa Libertadores."

This will not be the first time the USMNT coach goes to observe Corona and Castillo; two weeks ago he was present at the Estadio Caliente for the first leg of this series between Xolos and Palmeiras.

It is very important for Klinsmann to have these two players in good form as World Cup Qualifiers and the 2013 Gold Cup are right around the corner for USMNT.

During Edgar Castillo's injury earlier this year Klinsmann tried and experimented various different players at the left-back position. A health and in form Castillo is vital to the German's formation.

A player like Joe Corona can offer something different for USMNT. Since Landon Donovan's departure there hasn't been that player capable to hold on to the ball and distribute it. At this moment the most notable midfield player for the USMNT is Michael Bradley, a midfielder with more defensive capabilities than offensive. Joe Corona could become that link between the midfielders and the forwards that Klinsmann so desperately needs.
