Concentration and Intensity the keys for Fidel Martinez

Also Oliver Ortiz speaks of what it has been like to make his Liga MX and Copa Libertadores debut.

Saying "this is the most important week for the Xolos" might seem a little old by now. But due to the team's short history each new accomplishment brings on newer and bigger challenges.

Fidel Martinez is one of the main reasons why the Xoloitzcuitles have reached so many of their objectives.

"Concentration and intensity, being able to close down spaces and taking advantage of our chances will be the key"

The Ecuadorian also mentioned that there will be no pressure from the visit from the tournament favorites; he just wants to go out and enjoy the match.

"We need to be at 100%, Atletico (Mineiro) have been playing really well. But we just need to go out and have fun and enjoy. These will be two intense "finals" the first of which will be here at home in Tijuana."

Martinez mentioned that it is important to know your rival, but one of the biggest attributes this team has is to be able to make in play corrections.

"We'll probably see some video footage of them, but the reality will be on the field of play. It is important to get the win so we can go into Brazil with a bit of confidence. But if we can't get the win, then not losing will have to do."

Ortiz Excited

Oliver Ortiz has had a fantasy week; he made his professional debut as a started in the Xolos' biggest first division win (4-0) against Chivas of Guadalajara, and also played in the second leg round of 16 match in Brazil were the Xolos got the 2-1 away win to advance.

"The confidence that the team has put in me has helped me do my job right along with these great players."

Ortiz has managed to stay humble and keep on working hard every day. But there is no denying and no hiding the excitement of facing a star like Ronaldinho.

"I'm happy with the progress I've made. One month ago I would have never thought I'd be defending against Ronaldinho" concluded Ortiz.
