MEXICO. - The fight between Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez was announced in a press conference in Mexico City this weekend, which was presented in the same manner as it was in New York this past week.

This meeting in Mexico filled a big area of the Reforma zone, where the event took place.

The first one to be presented was Saul "Canelo" Alvarez with his people, where many people cheered and shouted in support, while others shouted insults at the Mexican boxer who was the first to speak.

"I've always had a lot of love and support from you all, and I want to thank you for coming. In my contract it always states that I will come to Mexico for conferences and fights, because Mexico is one of a kind. There are many people who do not believe that I will win on September 14, and one of those who does not believe, is Jose Sulaiman. But on that date I will show all of you that in boxing we all have our time and this is mine," said the Mexican fighter.

"I was 19 when I was offered this fight, but my managers said that I was not ready. Now, I think I'm in the best point of my career and it's only a matter of good preparation to win this fight," said "Canelo".

Then came the best pound for pound fighter, Floyd Mayweather, who repeated the same speech he gave in New York.

"I want to thank everyone for attending and who have been fantastic. Thanks for promoting boxing. Mexico has produced great champions, and thanks for supporting the fight. Mayweather loves Mexico. I have faced great champions and the most difficult ones have been Mexicans. See you all on September 14," said Money "Mayweather.

"September 14 will be just another day for me. Mexico knows boxing and knows that he will be facing the best" concluded Mayweather.

Jose Sulaiman was also present at this press conference and said that he hopes for this fight to be the biggest fight in history, which for this he mentioned the creation of a belt that will be made out of diamonds and 24 gold carat, showing the block of gold which it will be made out of.
