TIJUANA - Edgar Villegas, the nephew of Fernando Arce is one of those young talented players with a big future in front of him. And sometimes it is necessary to leave home and try your luck somewhere else in order to fully develop in the professional game. That is why the youngster who put in some brilliant performances during the Copa MX tournament will go play for Dorados de Sinaloa next season.
Born in Tijuana Villegas was an important part of the U17 and U20 squads of the Tijuana Xolos. He was known for scoring goals and some fantasy plays. He then had an opportunity with the Tijuana Xolos first team in the Copa MX where he delighted the crowd with some of his talent.
Villegas participated with the Dorados squad that took on Santos Laguna in a preseason friendly. He played 45 minutes for the Sinaloa side next to Joshua Abrego and Raul Enriquez.
Luis Olvera will also be playing with the Dorados de Sinaloa team next season, Olvera was also part of the Tijuana Xolos U20 where he became known for scoring goals along side Edgar Villegas.
