Inspector is fired and has arrest warrant against him after humiliating child

He took with him three packs of cigarettes

The video where Diego Lopez Jimenez is seen humiliating a child that was selling candies, has now cost him his job as a municipal inspector in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico.

VIDEO: Public Official abusing his authority

After seeing this video, the outrage of hundreds of people in Mexico has been such that the State Commission for Human Rights (CEDH) in the state of Tabasco, decided to file a complaint against the official for humiliating the child, and offered counseling, medical, and legal aid to the child to ensure his safety and physical integrity.

The child, Manuel Diaz, 10, whose parents are deceased, lives with his grandparents in San Juan Chamula, Chiapas. He was in Villahermosa with his aunts to earn some money for his school tuition. Manuel does not speak Spanish fluently and belongs to the Tzotzil community.

In addition to being removed from office, there was an arrest warrant issued against Jimenez by the State Attorney’s Office (PGJ) from the Department of Services for Vulnerable Victims of Tabasco for the abuse of authority and theft, because not only did he have the child throw all of his merchandise on the floor, but he took with him three packs of cigarettes.

The actress and singer Ninel Conde has requested help in finding Manuel, and has asked if anyone can provide her with that information on her Facebook page.
