Diego Olsina: "If we want to qualify we need to win away"

Aldo Polo also spoke to the media today.

TIJUANA - The Argentine midfielder Diego Olsina who had two of the three assists on Saturday night in Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles' 3-0 win over Veracruz in the Estadio Caliente spoke today after the team's training session.

According to Olsina it is very important that Xolos starts picking up wins on the road if they want to be able to make the playoffs and once again fight for the Mexican league championship. "Sunday will be a good opportunity for the team to give that big step and win away from home" said Olsina "If we want to qualify to the playoffs we need to give that step and win on the road or win two or three consecutive games."

Olsina believes it is very possible for the Xolos to get their first win on the road this Sunday in Guadalajara when they face Chivas now that the team is on a "normal rhythm" without midweek game distractions.

"August was a very complicated month. Now that we don't have those midweek games we can fine tune some of the little details that are missing and fully concentrate on the weekend's games." Explained Olsina.

Aldo Polo also spoke with members of the press about the upcoming game against Chivas of Guadalajara. Polo believes it will be important to play with desperation of their rivals.

"We know we are up against a big team who is trying their hardest to wake up from the slump they are in and that they have big time players that we will have to be concern with. But I think it will be important to play with their desperation." Said Polo.

Regarding the few minutes he has seen with the team Polo feels happy to be considered and when an opportunity to play does come he'll want to take full advantage of it.

"I feel good that I am considered, I know I haven't played a lot but I'll make sure that every time I do step onto the field I do it the best way possible to convince the manager." Explained Polo.
