Videogame's main goal is to escape the holocaust

Although Nintendo rejected the idea, the game will still be published

In 2008 a game developer made Nintendo a pitch about a game where the theme is the holocaust, Nintendo automatically rejected this idea, they did not find the theme appropriate whatsoever.

Luc Bernard, is a 26 year old developer, who is promising this game will be published and will be available for smart phones, his goal is that the game gets launched by early 2014.

The year is 1942 and the protagonist is a young Jewish boy named Samuel, who is living in hiding in a forest in France where he creates his own fantasy world to escape the concentration camps.

"Imagination is the only escape" is the title of the videogame, Bernard says he got the inspiration to make this game from his family, since his mother is Jewish and his Grandmother, who is English, took care of Jewish orphans after World War II.

While the game itself might seem to have a very grim disposition, Bernard says the purpose of this game is to educate children and new generations on one of the saddest most darkest moments in human history, and is inviting anyone wants to help him make this game and launch it before it's intended date.
