The FIFA U-17 World Cup is coming to an end and this Friday morning will feature the reigning U-17 champions Mexico looking for back-to-back championships against Nigeria who beat the champs 6-1 in the opening match of the competition for both.

The championship match in the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup is scheduled for Friday morning at 8:00AM pacific time.

Mexico will be looking to tie Nigeria and Brazil for the most World Cups at a U-17 level with three by winning a second consecutive title. The Africans will be looking to pass Brazil in this aspect and reach their fourth title in seven U-17 championship finals.

This match will not only be for the trophy, but it also has a sense of vengeances in the air. Mexico came into the tournament as the reigning champions and were humiliated by Nigeria in the opening match 6-1. Since then Mexico manager Raul "Potro" Gutierrez has turned things around and lead his team to victories over Sweden and Iraq in the group stage, and over Italy, Brazil, and Argentina in the knockout stages to reach the final.

El Tri could have it's third "Golden Generation" in eight years. For which despite the current troubles of the senior squad to reach the World Cup the future looks brighter than ever for Mexico.
