CHIAPAS – Having finished in sixth place Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles was facing the third place finishers Chiapas FC in the U-20 category quarterfinals. The normal proceedings would have been for Tijuana to host the first game while the better seeded team hosts the second leg. But by request of Chiapas FC the first leg was played in southern Mexico with the Xolos taking a 0-2 win.

With goals from Alberto Garcia and American Esteban "Stevie" Rodriguez Club Tijuana brings back a two goal lead to Tijuana where the second leg will be played on Sunday night at 6:00PM pacific time.

It was barely the opening minutes of the game when Jose Alberto Garcia got behind the defenders and ran full steam ahead evading the goalkeeper and scoring the opening goal of the match. And once again in the early minutes of the second half in a counterattack "Stevie" Rodriguez scored the second goal for the Xolos.

Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles is inviting all fans to come and support the younger generation Xolos in the return leg at the Estadio Caliente on Sunday night where entrance will be completely free to the public.
