Tijuana Xolos reach loan agreement for Israel Jimenez

The Olympic Gold Medalist is Xolos' 4th signing.

TIJUANA - Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente reached an agreement with Tigres UANL to bring in right back Israel Jimenez on a loan deal with no option to buy. Jimenez joins Dayro Moreno, Alfredo Moreno, and Juan Arango as the team's reinforcements for the Apertura 2014 season.

Jimenez was Mexican National Team member for most of the Jose Manuel "Chepo" de la Torre era; as well as part of the historic Mexican U-23 side that won the Olympic Gold Medal in the 2012 London games. But a serious injury left Jimenez out of the playing field for the past eight months.

It is rumored that the Xolos were interested in buying the player outright, but that Tigres UANL still consider him a crucial part of the team that is lacking playing rhythm. That's why the Monterrey side only agreed to a loan deal with no option to buy.
