Government of Baja and Infonavit Sign Credit Agreement for State Workers

Governor Francisco Vega signed the agreement today

MEXICALI.- State Governor, Francisco "Kiko" Vega de Lamadrid and the General Director of the National Workers Housing Fund Institute (Infonavit), Alejandro Murat Hinojosa, agreed to sign a collaboration agreement to launch the program "Hogar para tu familia" (Homes For Your Families) in order to give credit for property acquisition to state workers.

The State Governor pointed out that the agreement basis have been settled with Baja's Infonavit, where they will seek to apply all the necessary strategies to support the families of workers who labor under state administration, in order to bring new schemes alongside the participation of private banking and a finance and origination platform of Infonavit's wallet, so they can acquire assets while at the same time the push towards the development of the real estate sector in the entity, matching the National Housing Policy implanted by the Government.

He added that this program will allow access to credits for property acquisition, which the State Government is guarantor of delivery, providing a funding of first stages equal to 1.1% of the credit's total amount.

On his behalf, Murat Hinojosa pointed out that thanks to this program state government workers could obtain Infonavit credit financed by private banking, in order to consolidate assets for their families.

It was revealed that the financement scheme will focus its attention of workers with 64 years of age, who have credited a 2 year minimum seniority, a 10% lease of the property's value, which covers

up to 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years of credit terms, establishing the accessibility of being liquidated in a partial matter.

The implementation of this program will be gradual and segmented, according to budget capacities, an aspect that is already in evaluation stages on behalf of State admisnitration.
