Jazz Festival: "Chinto Mendoza" Arrives in Tijuana

The musician originally from Mexicali will be performing at ICBC

This Thursday and Friday will feature Jazz Festival: Chinto Mendoza's 9th edition at Instituto de Cultura de Baja California amphitheater (ICBC).

The festival's main purpose is to spread jazz throughout the region while at the same acknowledge Jacinto "Chinto" Mendoza's career as a musician. Several local and foreign artists of the genre will unite to in order to delight their audience on the same stage.

Jacinto Mendoza has offered concerts in places such as Teatro Insurgentes, Teatro Lírico and Teatro Blanquita alongside orchestras directed by Chucho Rodríguez and Pablo Beltrán, to name a few. Stepping outside of his roots, Mendoza graduated from the University of Chicago Conservatory in 1972.
