Baja California

An international celebration

The Mingei International Museum invites you to taste and listen Baja's style

How about an international party in Balboa Park? The Mingei International Museum will host an event that will offer a small preview of Baja California's lifestyle.

The event will feature BajaMed food by chef Miguel Angel Guerrero, wines from the Guadalupe Valley, a music performance by Bostich+Fussible from Nortec Collective, live demonstrations by Alejandro Martínez Peña, María Evangelina Rodríguez, other artists from the region and an exhibition of historical postcards from Tijuana.

Recently, the members of Nortec Collective Bostitch+Fussible performed at Rosarito's 2012 Playa Fest. The group also appeared at the opening ceremony for the Pan American Games last October in the mexican city of Guadalajara. Their songs "Tijuana makes me happy" and "Tijuana Sound Machine" have become anthems for the citizens of Tijuana.

On the Museum's store an all-day trunk show will take place and you'll find products from Guadalupe Valley and the state of Oaxaca.

The admission will cost 15 dollars, 10 if you are a member of the Museum. The event will start at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. on April 27.
