7th Caesar Salad Festival in Tijuana

The city celebrates its most famous dish

TIJUANA.- More than 15 restaurants will offer their best dishes this Sunday afternoon in the 7th installment of the Caesar Salad Festival on Revolution Avenue between the 3rd and 5th street starting at noon and until 10 pm. There will be no cover charge.

It is an effort by CANIRAC (National Chamber of the Restaurant Industry and Prepared Food) Tijuana-Tecate; they expect an approximate of 4,000 attendees. It was back in 2007 when Tijuana won the Guinness Record for the biggest Caesar Salad in the world, a title formerly owned by the City of New York.

Besides the food and salad, wine producers from the area will also be giving tasting samples of their internationally awarded products.

The Festival will have specially designated children areas and an artistic program by Cristina Crème, Pachuco Blues, Datz Jazz, Rumba and Flamenco.
