TIJUANA, BC.- Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente will play on Wednesday night its third consecutive away match, when the team visits Rayados from Monterrey at Estadio Tecnológico.

The road trip has taken the border squad against Correcaminos de la Universidad Autónoma from Tamaulipas (UAT) in Copa MX, Gallos Blancos from Querétaro in Liga MX and now a visit to Nuevo León.

The match will be played at 9PM, Monterrey local time; 7PM Pacific Standard Time; as part of Week 11 of Liga MX 2012 tournament.

Rayados has not been a consistent team throughout this season, but has been able to add up 16 points in 10 matches, positioning themselves on the 14th spot of the standings. The team has won in 4 occasions, tied 4 times and only has lost twice so far.

On the other hand, Xoloitzcuintles has taken the second place on the standings with 23 points, which is the same amount of points that the Diablos Rojos of Toluca have as well, but the difference in goals has put the team from Toluca in first place. The red and black team also knows as “the Aztec Dogs” has beaten 7 rivals, tied twice and has been defeated only once; the border crew so far has scored 14 goals in favor and has received 9 against.

Both teams have played each other 4 times, with 2 victories for Rayados, 1 win for Xolos and 1 draw.

Monterrey has been undefeated at home in this tournament so far, but for this match the team will suffer with three injured players that will most likely be out: Ricardo Osorio, Jesús Zavala and the Chilean-goal-machine Humberto “Chupete” Suazo.

In the Tijuana camp, Pablo César Aguilar will be the only absence in this game after being red carded on the last game. His position will surely be taken by Alfredo González Tahuilán.

After this match, Xolos will return home to take on the Diablos Rojos from Toluca, in order to take back the first place of the standings. The game will be played at Estadio Caliente on Sunday October 7th at 6:00PM.
