Vitamin C anyone?

Patients who are obese suffer from obesity are malnourished

If you suffer from obesity, you would think you are over nourished.

But in fact to the contrary patients who are obese suffer from obesity are malnourished. In 2009 Kevin P. Riess, John Farnen M.D, Pamela Lambert RN, Michelle Mathiason M.S and Shanu Kothari M.D published a study in Surgery for Obesity and related diseases journal a study were they demonstrated on an acid ascorbic depletion on a surgical population. They concluded that the contributing factors were a younger age, limited intake of fruits and vegetables, lack of vitamin supplementation and a higher BMI.

The first clinical manifestation of acid ascorbic deficiency is often fatigue. If the individual continue to have a poor intake they can manifest symptoms of scurvy. These can be bleeding gums, bruising, corkscrew hairs, and pain in the joints. It can also manifest with poor wound healing.

Over and over we insist to our patients the importance of the intake of fruits and vegetables. We created our Enspira vitamin formula with fruit extract and have been formulated with real fruits and vegetables. Do not allow yourself to be vitamin C deficient.
