Vacancy in the Senate for California and the border region

Senator Juan Vargas seat will be available

As of part of the results of this past election where the Mayor of San Diego will now be Congressman Bob Filner, his position will now be covered by Senator Juan Vargas, who will now be representing a vast area of San Diego.

Now with all of these changes that are being made, who will take over the seat that Senator Vargas will leave vacant?

This vacant seat which is for Senator of California mainly covers the border cities of Southern California to Baja California, Mexico.

According to an expert, the person who will take the seat may be decided in a special election to be held in the beginning of next year 2013, which will be held in the southern part of San Diego County and Imperial County that will determine who the new Senator will be.

All indications point out that the position will be covered by Assembly Member, Ben Hueso, who naturally is the candidate to represent the border area in the Senate, because he has represented that area for San Diego County before in many different positions in his career.
