Facebook continues to innovate, which this week a job search platform called “Social Jobs” has been launched in the U.S., and it is estimated that this application will provide approximately 1.73 million jobs.
The application can find jobs by location, distance and by other categories according to the user’s needs. With this tool Americans who wish to seek employment can log onto facebook.com/socialjobs
this link, and fill out all the fields in the application which the platform is already up and running, but be advised that this platform is still also under development , which it might not work perfectly and have unexpected updates.

Social Jobs was created in partnership with the Department of Labor of the United States and among other companies including Jobvite, Monster, Work4Labs, U.S. Jobs and Branch Out. This is expected to create thousands of jobs and help lower the unemployment rate, which in October was 7.9% according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the United States.
Although this tool can be very useful, it is also necessary to take good care of your own personal profiles, because as reported by Forbes magazine "half of U.S. employers use social networks during their hiring process"
in order to better understand their potential employees. Therefore this tool can also end up being a double-edged sword.
