Xolos qualify for the Concachampions

The team will compete in the international tournament for their ticket to the FIFA Club World Cup 2014

TIJUANA, BC. – Soccer Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente will have a busy 2013 season abroad, due to the fact of their recent success which include qualifying for the Copa Libertadores of America a few weeks ago, and this past Sunday with their victory over Leon they have also qualified now for the Concacaf 2013 League of Champions tournament, which depending on their success in the Concacaf tournament they might be able to also earn their pass to the FIFA Club World Cup 2014.

For the moment being Tijuana and the red devils from Toluca are the only two Mexican teams that will be competing in the Copa Libertadores tournament, and the teams from the U.S. that will also be going are the San Jose Earthquakes, Houston Dynamo, Los Angeles Galaxy, and Sporting from Kansas City.

This group will also be joined by the soccer league champion of Canada, 2 soccer clubs from Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Belize, and to complete the list there will also be 3 more teams from the Caribbean that will be qualifying through the CFU Club Championship tournament of 2013.

The winner of the League of Champions from the Concacaf tournament will earn a ticket to the FIFA Club World Cup 2014, who will go up against some of the most prestigious soccer clubs in the world like from the Champions League, and also the winner from the Libertadores tournament among others.

For the meantime, the biggest Latin American tournament will count with the participation of the Xolos starting on Febrauary 2013, where the canine squad may possibly face Arsenal from Argentina, Corinthians and Sao Paulo from Brazil, Universidad of Chile, Nacional and Peñarol of Uruguay and many other teams.
