Mitt Romney, a bad luck charm for Pacquiao?

He sat front row behind Manny's corner

Former candidate for the U.S. presidency, Mitt Romney and his wife Ann were in the first row of the MGM Grand Garden Arena tonight waiting for the highly anticipated boxing match between Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez.

Romney was a guest of the Director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Bill Brady, who worked for Romney in his campaign.

It is known that Romney had a great interest in attending the fight and Brady mentioned to Yahoo! Sports "We are honored to have him here," which is the same view that Bob Arum had, who is also a fight promoter and supporter of former candidate.

Romney apparently was cheering for Pacquiao, whom he went and visited in the locker room two hours before Pacquiao would climb into the ring accompanied by others who were with him.

Fred Sternburg who is Pacquiao's publicist said that Romney had shaken Manny's hand and said to him, "Hi Manny I was a presidential candidate and lost".

Unfortunately this might have also been bad luck for Manny, because his luck turned out to be the same as Romney's, he also lost as well.
